Inorganic Beings: The Wrestling Match and the Hatch

Era: my early years of serious dreaming, around the time The Art of Dreaming came out. Theme: paralysis terrors, a fight, and the night I told them to get lost.

Paralysis and the fear barrier

After I found my hands, I did a lot of what you'd call lucid dreaming: living in fantasy dream worlds and acting out desires, like learning to fly.

Later my dreaming got more serious. I began recapitulating daily and gazing often. This led to a time when I couldn't fall asleep without dreaming, and I was often paralyzed. My energy body was trying to come out. There was a massive fear barrier until I learned to move about.

When The Art of Dreaming came out, Carlos was having trouble with inorganic beings, and I was going through a similar turmoil. One of don Juan's suggestions to Carlos was to avoid gazing, because it is so associated with the ancient seers. I did the same, because I wanted my dreaming to ease up a bit.

If I hadn't had The Art of Dreaming as a reference then, I would have been a complete mess. It made me realize that the terrors appearing while I was paralyzed were inorganic beings, and that the inability to move was a sign to recapitulate more. I built a crate, put it in my bedroom, and recapitulated three to four hours a day.

The wrestling match

Tired of being petrified one time, I broke out of my paralysis, entered the dream fully, and wrestled with an inorganic being until it dissipated. The shocking jolts it sent through me felt like electrified water: inorganic beings of the annoying kind. That one messed with me for quite some time.

Five black shadows

I ended up completely agreeing with don Juan about inorganic beings, even though at first I was fascinated and obsessed with them, like Carlos.

The final moment came when I was standing in my apartment in my dreaming body and began vomiting involuntarily. What came out of me were black blobs, or shadows. I will never forget this. Five of them came out of my energy body, landed in pieces at the end of my hallway, and then joined together into one large dark shadow. They had used me as a hatch of sorts, in some indescribable way.

I haven't recovered the rest of the memories from that time, but I'm certain they used me.

Get lost

Some time after that, I told them to get lost and not interfere with my dreaming anymore, and they did. I wasn't cunning like Carlos; I didn't make a cool deal for them to stick around and not interfere.

That was roughly 32 years ago, and I've seen only one inorganic being in my dreaming since, most likely the tall, cone-headed being from my Sorcerers' Crossing night. From time to time I still feel those electrified, watery jolts. I won't know exactly what happened until I have enough energy to remember everything.

Takeaways

Paralysis is a signal. For me, being unable to move meant: recapitulate more.

You can say no. Telling them to stop interfering worked.

Silence and intent are the golden key that makes the assemblage point move.
